Peter Leiferman Attorney Bio

Peter Leiferman joined Lilleberg & Hopewell in 2014 as a law clerk. After passing the Minnesota State Bar Exam he was brought on as an associate attorney later that year. Peter represents numerous self-insureds and insurance companies in all areas of civil litigation. His practice is focused on personal injury, wrongful death, trucking accidents, business litigation, insurance coverage, contract issues, liquor liability and no-fault claims. Peter’s background working for large corporations and the insurance industry prior to law school has been a tremendous asset to our clients. He has successfully handled numerous civil liability matters and has frequently lectured on related topics. While attended William Mitchell College of Law at night he worked full time during the day in the insurance industry and also interned for the Honorable Laurie J. Miller in Hennepin County.

Since joining the firm, Peter has gained experience both in and out of the courtroom. He has handled a large variety of cases at all stages of litigation and has gained experience through work at trial, depositions, arbitrations, mediations and motion hearings. An integral part of the firm’s 24/7 Emergency Response Team, he has handled complex and challenging issues for our clients from a cases inception to appeal. He is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute.

In 2005 Peter graduated from Augsburg College where he received double majors in both English and Theatre. While attending school on a Performing Arts Scholarship, he participated in Augsburg Theatre, Augsburg Choir and worked full time as a bartender. In his free time, Mr. Leiferman enjoys spending time with his wife Michele, daughter Sophia and son Ezra.
